Rosy Ponce is the executive news producer for KTXS-12 ABC based in Abilene, TX. She is a skilled storyteller capable of curating impactful newscasts under tight deadlines with precision and creativity.

Ponce is also a multimedia artist who received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where she focused on creating community based immersive experiences involving sound art and digital media.

She enjoys reading and outdoor activities in her free time. Growing up in the countryside of Abilene, TX inspired Ponce to incorporate nature into her multimedia work. It’s also the reason she’s a huge fan of incorporating NATS into a newscast.

Her father, Hector Ponce, was a radio broadcaster and professional photographer before he passed in 2021. Hector continues to be her inspiration to pursue a creative field of work.
